Library Services

Transaction of Books

Students are allowed to take two books from library for period of seven days. After seven days, they can reissue or return the books to the library, Fine of Rs. 5/- is levied for late returns. Issued books can be renewed again for next 7 days, maximum of 3 times, if there is no any demand for those books. Books in demand are not renewable. Transaction of books is done at the circulation counter where students can approach the library staff for home lending of library books. There is a closed access for students in circulation section. Journals, Project Reports, Technical Reference Books & Bound volumes are to be consulted in the library only. Faculty members are allowed to issue seven books for whole semester. Non-teaching staff members may issue two books for a month.

Reading Facility

The library's reading room is designed to support focused study with a seating capacity for up to 100 students concurrently.. Students may deposit their bags at the baggage counter if they choose to sit in the library's reading hall. Students are mandated to wear their identification cards at all times while utilizing any library premises or facilities.

Multimedia Section

Multimedia PCs are maintained in this section for students, enabling them to access the institute's subscribed electronic resources. Students are permitted to utilize these multimedia PCs for academic purposes.

In the Multimedia section, ten personal computers are designated for students, enabling access to the library's electronic resources, including e-journals and e-books such as EBSCO e-books and ProQuest journal packages. Bookmarks are established on each computer for quick access to these digital resources.

Reference Services

The library maintains a comprehensive collection of reference books and materials for competitive exams, encompassing reference texts, general books, rare editions, motivational literature, and resources related to competitive examinations. Additionally, it houses encyclopaedias, dictionaries, communication skills manuals, and religious texts. Reference textbooks are issued only after 4:00 pm, and must be returned the following morning.

Ex-student Membership

Alumni may obtain this membership if they wish to utilize the library for their academic pursuits. Membership is available to all former students, faculty, and staff of the Agnel Technical Education Complex.

The students and faculty from other colleges and institutes are also permitted.

There are two types of memberships available: one is solely for reading, priced at Rs. 500 for a one-year duration, and the other is for both reading and borrowing, costing Rs. 1500, allowing the borrower to take out only one book for a period of 15 days.
