Overview
In addition to statutory bodies, the college actively fosters student-led governance via a variety of non-statutory committees that enhance campus life and promote leadership, responsibility, and comprehensive development. These committees are primarily student-driven, with faculty members serving as facilitators to provide guidance and ensure alignment with the institution’s core values.
These committees provide students with a platform to participate in the planning, organization, and implementation of activities throughout the academic year. They cultivate teamwork, creativity, event management skills, and professional preparedness. Additionally, they help students develop a sense of ownership, accountability, and decision-making skills beyond the academic environment. Consequently, non-statutory committees are instrumental in fostering a dynamic campus culture and equipping students for leadership positions in their future professional endeavours.
Placement Committee:
The Placement Committee at Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Management Studies (FCRIMS) acts as the essential bridge between our talented students and the dynamic corporate world. The committee works year-round to facilitate internships, final placements, and continuous industry engagement.

Functions:
- Create and update a robust database of potential recruiters and maintaining year-round communication with corporate partners.
- Organizing and hosting campus recruitment drives, pre-placement talks, and corporate guest lectures.
- Negotiating and finalizing placement logistics, including dates, eligibility criteria, and process requirements.
- Collecting structured feedback from recruiters to continuously improve the institute's curriculum and student training modules.
- Conducting aptitude tests, group discussions (GDs), and personal interview (PI) simulations.
- Conducting Resume Building Workshops, LinkedIn training sessions and creating comprehensive internships and placement brochures for circulation to recruiters
- Managing all internal documentation related to the placement process, including offer letters,
acceptance records, and student profiles.
- Managing the communication flow for summer and winter internship requirements for all eligible
batches.
- Analysing placement data post-drive to track trends, measure success against objectives, and generate annual placement reports.
- Ensuring smooth and transparent coordination between students, faculty coordinators, and visiting company representatives.
Alumni Committee:
The Alumni Committee aims to strengthen and nurture lifelong relationships between the institution and its alumni community by fostering continuous engagement and creating opportunities for collaboration with former students.
Objectives:
- Strengthen connections between FCRIMS and its alumni by building a vibrant, supportive, and engaged alumni network.
- Promote a culture of giving back by encouraging alumni contributions towards academic enhancement, infrastructure development, and stronger industry–institute interaction.

Functions:
- Maintain an updated and structured alumni database to ensure effective communication and long-term engagement.

Corporate Interface Committee:
The Corporate Interface Committee (CII) is a dynamic, student-driven initiative aimed at fostering continuous learning and meaningful interaction between industry and academia.

The Social Media Committee aims to serve as the official digital voice of the institution, blending creativity and strategic thinking to boost the visibility, reputation, and engagement of the management programs through responsible and innovative use of social media platforms.

Library Committee:
The Library Committee aims to provide students, faculty, and researchers with access to high-quality, updated information resources and a conducive learning environment. The committee plays a vital role in guiding the strategic development of the library and contributing to the academic excellence of the institution.
Objectives:
- Prevent sexual harassment in the workplace and ensure a safe, respectful environment
- Provide a fair, confidential, and accessible mechanism for addressing complaints
- Formulate, implement, and enforce anti-harassment policies and procedures
- Conduct impartial and timely inquiries into complaints
- Offer support, guidance, and protection to victims during the process
- Recommend and ensure appropriate action based on inquiry findings
- Promote gender sensitivity, equality, and awareness of rights through regular programs and training
Functions:
- To plan for the expansion, updation, and maintenance of physical and digital library collections
- To recommend and guide the selection of new books, journals, databases, and e-resources
- To organize Library Orientation, Information Literacy sessions, and database training programs for students and faculty
- To frame and implement library rules, policies, and usage guidelines
- To document and promote library-related events such as book exhibitions, author interactions, and awareness sessions
- To collect feedback from users and propose improvements for enhanced services

Institute Social Responsibility Committee:
The vision of FCRIMS, to be an eminent Management Institute that develops socially responsible leaders, serves as the foundational pillar for the Institute Social Responsibility (ISR) Committee.

Functions:
- Plan and implement community outreach programs such as environmental drives, health awareness campaigns, donation initiatives, educational support activities, and social welfare projects.
- Collaborate with NGOs, social organizations, Government bodies, and local communities to maximize the impact of initiatives.
- Encourage students to participate actively in socially beneficial activities, thereby nurturing empathy, civic awareness, and a sense of responsibility towards society.
- Undertake projects for a social cause, such as Collection camps, Blood Donation drive, E-waste management supporting underprivileged children, Tree plantation drive, Mangrove Cleaning Dive.
- Conduct regular workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on critical social issues such as Thalassaemia awareness , drug abuse for students and staff.
- Maintain detailed records of ISR programs, including participation data, photographs, reports, outcomes, and annual summaries for internal review and external accreditation purposes.
Sports and Cultural Committee::
The Sports and Cultural Committee seeks to enhance the campus experience by encouraging physical wellness, collaboration, imagination, and cultural representation through thoughtfully organized sports events and cultural activities, thus reinforcing student involvement, institutional identity, and the overall sense of community

The committee schedules, coordinates, and executes various sports initiatives that encourage active participation. It ensures proper arrangements, equipment availability, safety measures, and smooth conduct of all athletic activities.
- Promote physical well-being, teamwork, creativity, and cultural appreciation
Efforts are made to build a balanced environment where students develop physically, socially, and artistically. Through regular programs, the committee nurtures cooperation, creative expression, and respect for cultural diversity.
- Encourage student participation in both sports and cultural activities
The committee motivates students by creating a supportive environment and removing hesitation barriers. It provides opportunities for involvement, ensuring that every student feels included and confident to participate.
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC):
In accordance with its Action Plan for performance evaluation, assessment, accreditation, and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), all institutions are mandated to establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a measure for sustaining quality. As quality enhancement is an ongoing process, the IQAC will be integrated into the institution’s system and will endeavor to achieve the objectives of quality improvement and maintenance.
Objectives: The primary aim of IQAC is
- To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the
academic and administrative performance of the institution.
- To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement
through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

Examination Committee:
An Examination Committee functions as the highest authority within an educational institution, tasked with the effective planning, organization, and seamless execution of all internal and external examinations. Its principal responsibilities encompass developing examination schedules, ensuring a fair and transparent assessment environment, managing results, maintaining records, and addressing disciplinary issues such as malpractice. Additionally, the committee is entrusted with implementing university policies, appointing examiners, and continuously enhancing examination procedures. It oversees all examination-related matters in coordination with the University, and the Examination In-Charge reports directly to the Director. All information received from or communicated to the University is handled by the Examination Committee in collaboration with the respective departments.
Objectives: The primary aim of IQAC is
- To conform rules, regulations, procedures & guidelines laid down by regulatory authorities
- To cover all the activities relating to the conduct of examinations including project presentations and viva-voce as per the examination cycle.

The National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and developed by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. It functions as a single-window platform for educational content, providing a wide variety of resources for all academic levels, including researchers, students, and lifelong learners, in multiple languages.
Objectives: The primary aim of IQAC is
- Provide a single-window platform for accessing digital learning resources nationwide
- Inspire, empower, and encourage learning for users of all age groups
- Create a comprehensive virtual repository of educational materials
- Offer resources ranging from primary to postgraduate levels
