The governance policies are predominantly established by various regulatory authorities, including the University of Mumbai, the Office of the Joint Director for Higher and Technical Education, ARA, FRA, among others. These authorities enforce the following mandated policies.

The Quality Policy outlines the institution’s commitment to achieving and sustaining excellence in management education, research, and professional development.

It provides a guiding framework for maintaining high academic standards, continuous improvement, and stakeholder satisfaction in alignment with the vision and mission of the institution.

Quality Commitment:
FCRIMS is committed to:
  1. Providing learner-centric and outcome-based education that ensures academic excellence and employability.
  2. Maintaining an effective Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) guided by the IQAC for systematic improvement.
  3. Ensuring faculty development, curriculum relevance, and research orientation through regular review and capacity building.
  4. Promoting ethical conduct, inclusivity, and social responsibility among all stakeholders. Encouraging innovation in pedagogy, technology integration, and industry collaboration.
  5. Establishing transparent and participative governance mechanisms for institutional decision-making.
  6. Periodically assessing and benchmarking institutional performance against national and international quality standards (AICTE, NAAC, NBA, etc.
Objective

To translate this policy into practice, the institution shall:

  1. Implement Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and monitor learning outcomes for continuous curriculum improvement.
  2. Maintain faculty-student mentorship systems to ensure academic and personal support.
  3. Conduct regular academic and administrative audits for performance evaluation.
  4. Promote research publications, consultancy, and industry projects among faculty and students.
  5. Encourage student participation and feedback mechanisms to enhance learning experiences.
  6. Strive for zero non-compliance with all statutory and accreditation requirements.
  7. Continuously improve infrastructure, learning resources, and digital systems to enhance educational delivery.

The Admissions Policy outlines the guiding principles, eligibility criteria, selection process, and code of conduct governing admissions to the Masters of Management Studies (MMS) program. It ensures that the admission process is transparent, merit-based, inclusive, and aligned with institutional values of fairness, diversity, and academic excellence.

Objectives of the policy:
  • Attract meritorious and motivated students who aspire to pursue a career in management.
  • Ensure equal opportunity to all eligible candidates irrespective of gender, socio-economic background, or region.
  • Maintain transparency, objectivity, and accountability in the admission process.
  • Align the admission process with the standards prescribed by regulatory and affiliating bodies (AICTE/University/State Government).
  • To ensure reservation policy for minority institutes, specified by AICTE/DTE/University/State Government are followed

FCRIMS is an Institution affiliated to University of Mumbai and approved by AICTE which adopts Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). Assessments of the students are carried out continuously using formative modes as well as summative assessment, incorporating innovative methods like open book tests, individualized assignments, mini-projects and term papers.

Objectives:
  • To conform rules, regulations, procedures & guidelines laid down by regulatory authorities
  • To cover all the activities relating to the conduct of examinations including project presentations and viva-voce as per the examination cycle. Examination Committee

FCRIMS, placement is of utmost importance. The Placement Policy provides the framework for all campus placement activities. The Library Policy defines the framework for the effective and ethical use of library resources and services. It aims to ensure that the library functions as a center for learning, research, and intellectual engagement, supporting the academic and professional development of students and faculty.

  • Provide access to up-to-date and relevant academic resources in management and allied disciplines.
  • Support teaching, learning, and research through physical and digital resources.
  • Promote responsible, ethical, and equitable use of library materials.
  • Encourage lifelong learning habits and information literacy among students.
  • Ensure efficient management, preservation, and dissemination of information resources.

The Research Policy provides a framework to promote, support, and regulate research and scholarly activities undertaken by faculty, students, and staff. It aims to nurture a culture of inquiry, innovation, and knowledge creation that contributes to academia, industry, and society.

The Student Welfare Policy ensures that every student enjoys a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
